The Bantimala complex comprise of 115 million years old rocks, was formed due to the tectonic process of bedrock tens of kilometers below the earth’s surface,
Hundreds of caves that have been inhabited by prehistoric humans, the past culture is depicted through the remains of 40,000 years old prehistoric paintings (M.Aubert et al. 2014), older than Europe.
This area is part of the Wallacea Region, Home to Endemic Flora Fauna, Hundreds of butterfly species, which have earned the nickname “Kingdom of Butterfly”.
